Bearcats Crushed by Hoyas
March 7, 2010 - Conventional wisdom, some of which espoused by this writer, assumed the University of Cincinnati would be a tough match up for Georgetown, as the former is second in the Big East in rebounding margin - the Bearcats are known to hit the glass. That, coupled with being physical, big and known to throw opponents around, was thought earlier in the season a tough out for the Hoyas, not known for being a overly 'physical' team, and one that is not exceptionally deep.
Georgetown answered in one word yesterday, "NOT", for they drubbed Cincy 74-47 before 17, 054 fans in Washington, D.C.'s Verizon Center. Junior guard Austin Freeman, in his first game back after announcing he is diabetic, led the Hoyas Cincy Saturday.
