MSU has not had much success in Memorial Gymnasium going just 8-52 there all-time with their last win coming in 2004. That lopsided ledger has helped the Commodores take a 74-44 lead in the series including both games a year ago.
Vandy won in Starkville 81-74 during the regular season then ousted the Bulldogs from the SEC Tournament 87-81 ending their season. Renardo Sidney led State with 22 points in the last outing against the Commodores in just 18 minutes of action.
Rick Stansbury does hold a 10-8 record against Vanderbilt.
The Bulldogs come into tonight's game at 15-4 overall and 2-2 in SEC action. Mississippi State dropped a 75-68 decision to Ole Miss in Oxford Wednesday night. Sidney again paced the team with 17 points to go along with nine rebounds against the Rebels.
