The case for Devin Ebanks
MORGANTOWN--In Sunday's exciting first half action with Pitt, Mountaineer forward Devin Ebanks made a post move which should be recorded for posterity and flashed on the scoreboard for documentation.
Ebanks, at 6-9, took Pitt senior Sam Young into the paint, bobbed his head twice and then twisted around Young for a short jumper that went in and out. Understand that Ebanks is a freshman with six games of Big East basketball in his hip pocket. Young is what Ebanks is trying to be. An athletic three-year starting small forward who can put the ball on the floor and defend point guards to power forwards.
Ebanks' shot missed and No. 3 finished with 9 points and 5 rebounds, but the post move showed why Rivals.com made him a 5-star prospect coming out of prep school and why most believe he will play in the NBA, someday.
