Bruins to march on Troy

The UCLA Bruins (11-12, 6-5) will seek revenge on the road against the USC Trojans (14-9, 6-5) Sunday evening at 7:00 PM PST at the Galen Center on the USC campus. The Bruins fell to Cal last Saturday 72-58, while the Trojans defeated Stanford 54-49. The Bruins and Trojans are part of a five way tie for second place in the Pac 10.

The first game between the two teams on February 16th was a disaster for the Bruins. They were blown off the court and were never in the game, losing by the margin of 67-46. That was the Trojan's biggest win at Pauley ever and was their biggest win over UCLA anywhere in about 70 years. One of the amazing statistics in that game was the Trojan's rebounding margin of 37-22.

It is safe to say that UCLA has improved since that debacle against SC, but the question is how much. USC is still playing the same way they were in January and should be a substantial favorite in this game. They are arguably the best defensive team in the conference and are only allowing 56 points per game (ppg).
