Josh Smith's journey back home

The siren call of the music business allowed the Bruins to land the very explosive and talented, Josh Smith, who prior to his stint as a standout on the scout team, was making it happen on Saturday's for the Colorado Buffaloes, a team that definitely missed his playmaking skills last season.

This coming fall Smith will doing his magic for the Bruins and his addition should help the team score points. Not only does Smith give the Bruins a deep threat and is a gritty receiver, but he could help UCLA on special teams as a return man.

Interesting enough it wasn't football, but the music scene in Los Angeles and UCLA that brought him to Westwood and because of the music scene his skills as a football player will greatly be appreciated by UCLA fans.

"I transferred to UCLA to take music courses," Smith said. "Also L.A., is a great city to network. There are people out here that I know who are in the music industry.
