UCLA tops BYU in the Wooden Classic

UCLA beat the undefeated and 16th ranked BYU Cougars 86 to 79 in a major upset for the 6-4 Bruins at the Wooden Classic in Anaheim. BYU went ahead by as much as 10 points early in the first half but the Bruins slowly chipped away at the lead until they tied the game with 11:28 to go in the first half on a Malcolm Lee two pointer. Then Reeves Nelson hit two free throws to give UCLA the lead and the Bruins never looked back.
