Pelphrey talking Mississippi State

John Pelphrey has had his battles against Mississippi State as both a player and a coach.

The former Kentucky star has struggled against the Bulldogs so far in his coaching career with just a 2-4 record. He has also never won at Humphrey Coliseum which happens to be the site of his next game on Wednesday evening.

"We have a very challenging start to our week being on the road at Mississippi State," Pelphrey said. "Obviously Coach (Rick) Stansbury has done a tremendous job with their program and I have respect for him. He's been there a long time and done very, very well. Their team has got some very talented players. Obviously it starts with Dee Bost and have got Ravern Johnson then the big fella inside (Renardo Sidney). I think Kodi Augustus is terrific too. (Riley) Benock has made big shots against us in the past so it's going to be a big challenge for us to go on the road to Humphrey Coliseum and compete."

The past two seasons Pelphrey has watched Bost do battle against a talented point guard of his own Courtney Fortson. During four career games against the Razorbacks Bost is averaging 17.5 points.
