Today Mississippi State will honor three senior players and legendary broadcaster Jack Cristil.
But the Bulldogs will be playing for much more than that when they tipoff against Arkansas at 4 p.m. MSU still needs wins to not only help their seeding in the SEC Tournament but also bolster their resume for the Big Dance.
The Bulldogs will hold senior day for Dee Bost, Brian Bryant and Taylor Luczak in a pregame ceremony and then Cristil at halftime with a permanent banner to be hung in the rafters of Humphrey Coliseum.
Arkansas holds a four-game edge in the overall series 28-24 but the Bulldogs are 18-5 in games played in Starkville. State has won the last 11-games at the Hump against the Razorbacks, the longest streak against any SEC foe. Arkansas has not won at Mississippi State since 2000.
The Hogs won the conference opener for both teams 98-88 in Fayetteville earlier this season. Arkansas received 24-point efforts from Julysses Nobles and B.J. Young. Bost was the Bulldogs leading scorer with 21 in that Jan. 7 contest.
