Recruits take in Gopher scrimmage

The Gophers held their first public event Friday night playing the Maroon-Gold scrimmage and they had plenty of key Minnesota high school names in attendance. Recent commit Andrew Brommer sat press row with the other recruits as he talked with new Director of Basketball Operations Brent Lawson and volunteer assistant coach Niko Medved.

Brommer sat courtside proudly wearing gear of the maroon and gold as he is the newest commit. Along with him were 2007 commits Al Nolen Jr. and Blake Hoffarber, the future backcourt of the Gophers. This backcourt duo is now out trying to get future potential U recruits to join them and their persuasion helped land Brommer, they were sitting next to Armond Battle and they have been after Princeton center Jared Berggren as well trying to get him to Minnesota.
